About Nipawin Venice House

I’m excited to introduce Nipawin Venice House Restaurant, a welcoming restaurant that locals often point to when talking about relaxed dining in town. Located at 118 1 Ave E, Nipawin, SK S0E 1E0, Canada, this spot feels easy to find and even easier to settle into, whether you’re stopping by after work or planning a casual night out. The vibe is comfortable and familiar, which makes it a place where conversations flow naturally and time doesn’t feel rushed. What really stands out about Nipawin Venice House is how it balances simplicity with variety, giving guests plenty of choice without feeling overwhelming. You can come in for a laid-back dine-in experience, or grab takeaway when your schedule is tight and you still want something satisfying. The menu leans into flexibility, offering everything from coffee for a slow afternoon to beer, wine, and cocktails when you’re in the mood to unwind. There’s also a thoughtful selection of spirits, which adds to the sense that this restaurant caters to different tastes and occasions. I like how inclusive the offerings feel, especially with vegan and vegetarian options that don’t come across as an afterthought but as part of the main experience. That kind of consideration makes it easy to recommend the place to groups with mixed preferences. It fits well into everyday plans, from quick lunches to unplanned meetups, and the address on 1 Avenue East places it right in the rhythm of Nipawin’s daily life, making repeat visits feel natural rather than planned. As someone introducing this restaurant, I’d say it’s the kind of spot where you don’t need a special reason to visit; you just show up and feel comfortable ordering what fits your mood. The service options keep things practical, the drink list keeps things interesting, and the overall atmosphere keeps people coming back, which is why Nipawin Venice House continues to hold a steady place in the local dining scene.

The chef clearly cooks with love. I had a lamb shank braised in red wine with root vegetables, served over creamy mashed parsnips. It was fall-off-the-bone tender. The plating was rustic, and the portions generous. I left full and deeply satisfied.!!!!!!!

Went there to try it out for today was my Birthday. First time going there since moving to Nipawin a year ago. There seemed quite a lot of People going there so I guess this Restaurant has a a lot of Regular Customers. Ordered the Maritimer Pizza but they informed me that was no longer available although it was on the Menu. So I settled for the Venice House Special. Had an Appetizer of French Onion Soup before the Pizza arrived. So I had to take One Star Off for their not having the Seafood Maritimer Pizza. Service was Courteous but could have been more Efficient. Found that the Atmosphere & Decorations was very nice taking a Picture of their Fireplace.

My wife and I spent two days, three nights in Nipawin and we had lunch here twice. Baked Spaghetti, Fish & Chips, liver & onions, and hot roast beef. All were very good and the service by Taso and her staff were excellent. Prices are excellent. I would recommend to anyone coming to Nipawin.

Best steak in western Canada, best service (Brandi) in North America. Don’t be fooled by the stairs leading down after you open the front door, you will soon be greeted by a cute little Greek Restaurant down below. My waitress was wonderful and had a very upbeat and friendly attitude even while juggling side tasks, 1/2 dozen tables, phone orders and acting cashier. I ordered the steak sandwich…my friends had ordered it the night before and I had a piece….I must come back to savour this by myself, so I did. I am not sure who their supplier is but, the Striploin cut was as tender as a filet cooked to perfection (medium rare) by the chef. I would easily pay double for that perfection, and have paid more for lesser cooked steaks at 5 stars in Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton. What an incredible find in my journey to Saskatchewan.

Food was pretty good. Service was great. The asparagus was not fully cooked. And it was so very hot inside.
